Living under the shadows of everything national, we don’t have any exposure to life and its creations that happen outside of it.
Before the advent of internet and smartphones, there existed a tradition of ‘pamphlets of poetry’ in the Pothohar region. These were 30-50 page booklets to propagate the poetry being written by the poets from every nook and corner of Pothohar.
The point of distribution for these was either the news agency at the General Bus Stand of Gujar Khan or the hugely popular music centers, the cassette houses that used to produce and sell music of local singers usually recorded at weddings and other events.
This, here, is a booklet of selected poetry of a few poets.
