Apna Punjab

I wish you could be here. We could make a stop and seize these moments and this landscape and make them our own.

I’m on the road.

Heading home via the Lahore-Islamabad motorway. Brought a book with me to read but haven’t been able to start it.

Most of the journey has been spent looking outside. At the vast stretches of the green plains of Punjab. Splintered with trees, along the road and around the fields. A few villages and many single homes. Bathed in the pleasant Phagan sun, which has started to set now, casting a golden hue on everything.

Just a while ago, saw an adorable herd of cows and buffaloes grazing together. One particular tree so beautiful, I could look at it for hours. I think I am going to remember it for times to come.

I wish you could be here. All of you. We could make a stop and seize these moments and this landscape and make them our own.
