Rabwah in Pictures
Rabwah (or Chenab Nagar) is a city located near Chiniot, by the Chenab River. According to wikipedia, it “has been the headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community since September 20, 1948, after the original headquarters of Qadian went to India following the creation of Pakistan in 1947.”
The reason I wanted to visit Rabwah was to pay homage to Pakistan’s only nobel-winning physicist, Abdus Salam who is buried there. However, I couldn’t enter the graveyard because, as per the gatekeeper, the entry is reserved for Ahmadis only. Anyway, I said my salam from a distance and left for Faisalabad.
